Ascent Academia - 10 | Indian Otology League

Kozhikode: The Indian Otology League Conference, which introduced modern ENT treatment methods in the health sector, has concluded. This four-day conference was part of the continuing education training program at Ascent ENT Hospital. The workshop included modern treatments and innovative surgical training in the field of ENT.
Practical training sessions were conducted under the guidance of experts on cochlear implantation for young ENT doctors, various surgeries for hearing loss, and temporal bone dissection workshops. Approximately 38 doctors from different states across the country participated in the workshop.
As part of the practical training, surgeries performed by specialists at Ascent ENT Hospital in Kozhikode were demonstrated live at the venue. Dr. K. K. Ramalingam, founder of the Indian Society of Otology, inaugurated the workshop. Dr. Shankar Mahadevan, President of AOI, presided over the event. Speakers included Dr. Ashok Kumar, Dr. Appa Rao, Dr. Prabhakaran C., Dr. Mohammed Naushad, and Dr. Deepak Haldipur. Dr. Sharafudeen P. K., Chairman of Ascent ENT Hospital, welcomed the attendees, and Dr. Bijiraj V.V. offered thanks.
Prominent speakers included Professor Robert Vincent (France), Professor Mohan Kameshwaran (Chennai), Professor Ravi Ramalingam (Chennai), Dr. Deepak Haldipur (Bangalore), Dr. Ashesh Bhumkar (Thane - Maharashtra), Dr. S. K. E. Apparao (Visakhapatnam), Dr. Sampath Chandra Prasad Rao (Bangalore), Dr. Mubarak Khan (Pune), Dr. Shibu George, Dr. Manoj M.P., Dr. Mohammed Naushad V., and Dr. Vivek Shashidharan, who presented various topics during the sessions. Demonstrations and training on modern ENT treatment methods and surgical instruments were also part of the workshop.
